Meet Us

Jim has over 25 years of accounting experience. He began his accounting career while still in college, where he worked full-time as a bookkeeper in the hospitality industry. After graduation, Jim worked for two of the largest public accounting firms in the Pacific Northwest. This afforded him the opportunity to gain experience in all three of the main areas of public accountancy; tax, audit, and management consulting. He received his Oregon CPA license in 1997. In January of 1999 he also became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), a credential conveyed by the Institute of Management Accountants.

In 1999, Jim relocated to Austin, Texas (and he received his Texas CPA license that same year). He worked for two of the “Top 25” firms in Austin before joining a friend that had started his own public accounting firm. Jim spent seven years working with this firm and eventually purchased part of the business. After helping this firm triple its revenue and grow from three employees to nine employees during his seven year tenure, the time had come for the next professional challenge – to open his own office. 

Claudia keeps things moving in our office. She handles firm administration as well as providing bookkeeping and individual tax preparation support to our clients.
